Varför returnerar inte min vänstra koppling noll?

ändra join items i ... till LEFT join items i ... och din fråga bör fungera som du förväntar dig.

Du kan inte filtrera LEFT JOIN-tabeller i where-satsen om du inte tar hänsyn till nollvärden, eftersom den vänstra joinen tillåter att dessa kolumner har ett värde eller är null när inga rader matchar:

and i.siteid = 132 kommer att kasta bort alla dina rader som har en NULL i.siteid , där ingen existerade. Flytta detta till PÅ:

left join items i on ic.itemid = i.itemid and i.siteid = 132

eller gör att WHERE hanterar NULL:

WHERE ... AND (i.siteid = 132 OR i.siteid IS NULL)
